Avactis is an „open-source” ecommerce platform, launched in 2001 in New York by Pentasoft Corporation. In 2012 Hummingbird web Solutions Ltd, a company based in India became the owner of Avactis. So far, there are six Avactis editions: Avactis Free, Avactis Owned, Avactis Lite, Avactis Premium, Monthly leased license and Avactis White Label. Avactis can be used for any type of online store, from clothing stores to shops that sells e-books or music.
Every online store has two parts: the customer and the administrator. The first is what customers see when they end up on your store. A client can choose the products he or she wants, add them to cart and conclude the purchase by payment. The second part, the admin part allows adding new products, have access to inventory and can monitor the orders and payments.
